Clausholm Manor

This monolithic castle, along with its neighboring stables and park, is among Denmark's oldest and most comprehensive Baroque estates. It was built in the 1690's for Lord Chancellor Count Conrad Reventlow. An interesting fact in the history is that Reventlow's daughter Anna Sophie and King Frederick IV eloped here....

Danish Firefighting Museum

Occupation Museum

This museum, which was the former Gestapo headquarters during World War II, chronicles the Nazi invasion of Århus using numerous artifacts, documents, photos, and weapons. Additional exhibits relate the Danish Resistance.

Vikingemuseet (Viking Museum)

Located in the basement of the Unibank, the museum showcases remains of the Viking Age town wall uncovered during a 1964 excavation. Artifacts date from 900 to 1400, making this among the area's oldest settlements.
