Beautiful modern scottish cuisine in a stylish modern restaurant. Friendly and informed staff make you feel right at home. Fantastic wine list (don't know how they can charge so little for a Chablis) and lovely scottish beers.
Very highly recommended especially if you are visiting from out of town.

Absolutely fantastic! We were undecided whether to go to an Indian or Thai and came across Koi Restora; they serve both Indian & Thai cuisine!Food was great, service was the best I have ever experienced and the location on Union Street was ideal as we went for a few drinks in town afterwards. I would recommend anyone to try this place...

If you are looking for good quality food with a fast & friendly service then I recommend Koi. They offer both Indian & Thai cuisine. I started off with a Thai starter, had a King Prawn for main course and had a delicious Mango Lassi for dessert. How much?? The bill including a couple bottles of Cobra came to £35, which is what I call value for money!

It was a Friday night, me and the lady stupidly decided not to make a booking - we got to the restaurant around 7.30 and was requested to wait in the lounge area for 20 minutes before a table of 2 became free. I used this opportunity to have a pint of Cobra, while Jenny sipped on a Martini cocktail - I know...
Once we got to our table on the mezzanine floor next to an arched Victorian door facing the courtyard - we couldn't believe our luck (as I thought it was the best seat in the house!). Only thing I would say was, with the combination of people speaking and the music - we had to raise our voices in order to communicate.
The starters came within 20 minutes of ordering, which I thought was fantastic, considering how busy it was.
We went for a mixed platter which had a combination of seafood, vegetarian & meat dishes.
For the mains I decided to experiment with a signature dish, while jenny went for the proven Chicken Tikka Masala.
We were both impressed with the food, Jenny felt her dish wasn't hot enough, but the waiter kindly took the dish back and got the chef to create an extra hot CTM.
All in all, I would recommend this place - would be interested to see what the other diners thought…
