 EDITOR REVIEW: This impressive estate dates back to 1837 when it was home to Colonel Simon Perkins, son of the founding father of Akron. The home remained in the Perkins family until 1945. The architecture is unmistakably Greek Revival, and the interior still contains authentic furnishings of the early nineteenth century.
