Bonjour! The owners of French Coffee Shop care deeply about what they do, and they love making sure everyone enjoys their inviting Akron restaurant. The interior is intimate, yet nothing special, but what you experience here will certainly delight your taste buds. This Akron café makes French bread from scratch daily, as well as the mayonnaise they use on sandwiches. I was one of many long time locals who loved the French Coffee Shop since the early 70's. Really missed it when I lived out of state for 5 years, but made sure to stop in when back in town. Unfortunately, the original owners/creators retired and sold the shop and it just does not measure up. It's a perverse imitation. I kept returning hoping they'd get it right, but as of 2 weeks ago, no more, much to my dismay. If they do improve, I hope someone lets me know!
