Located in the heart of Buford's historic downtown among galleries and quaint shops.

ALPHARETTA. The intrepid kitchen staff has created quite a stir in the local dining community with their new American cusine. Try the Grilled Foley's Salmon, Pan Seared Meyer Flat Iron Steak, Bourbon Glazed Long Island Duckling, or Grilled Pork Tenderloin. Be sure to save room for one of the mouth-watering desserts. The top notch wine list is among the best around, the dining room boasts beautiful wood and wrought iron accents, and the service is first rate.

ALPHARETTA. Killer Creek features fine food in a casual and cool atmosphere. The kitchen staff serves up a seasonal menu that offers something for every pallate. Try one of the perfectly seared steaks, roasts, or chops. The Killer Creek Prime Rib is among the best in the city. The restaurant also enjoys a rich history as it sits on a property once inhabited by Native Americans and their leader, Foe Killer. The creek behind the restaurant still bears his name.

ALPHARETTA. The party here dictates the closing time as attractive suburbanites rub shoulders amid a modern American decor. Dinner is delicious, but the real party gets going afterwards in Sage After Hours where charismatic DJs spin the latest dance hits for the well-dressed crowd of twenty- and thirty-somethings. Indeed, the hottest hits get the bodies moving and the drinks flowing. Live samba jazz is also featured Wednesday through Saturday from 6pm to 10pm. There is little wonder why Sage is billed as the "Sexiest Nightlife in the Suburbs."

ALPHARETTA. Casual and infinitely accommodating, this downtown restaurant occupies a space whose exposed red brick walls and rough timbers are sufficiently weathered, homage no doubt to the building's long history. And yet, old school as it may appear, Smoke Jack is not without its modern elements – the impressive collection of original art sees to that. As to the Southern-inspired fare, the kitchen delivers a lineup rich in flavor thanks to its devotion to pit-smoked and wood-grilled meats. Will it be the 12-hour brisket, the pork spare ribs or the roast duckling? And if that decision wasn't tough enough, the down home sides range from smashed sweet potatoes to mustard greens. A lively bar scene and blues acts on Friday and Saturday nights help ensure a steady crowd throughout the week.
