Exploring the Amsterdam canals is, without a doubt, one of the greatest things to do when visiting Amsterdam. You could buy a ticket at one of the larger canal boating companies, but even better is to rent your private boat and explore the canals at your own pace. The historical city center is beautiful and spending a sunny day on the canals is just splendid, but also at nighttime the canals are a world in their own!
