WESTERN CANAL RING / JORDAAN.   Neighborhood folks head to this place regularly for its incredible food and feel-good vibe, although locals certainly hold no monopoly on the place. In fact, the restaurant's reputation for flavor and quality extends well beyond its immediate environs. The menu, too, has a wide grasp, offering everything from terrific steaks to seafood, poultry, and even enchiladas. Lunch adds in sandwiches, salads, quiche and soups, and there are always specials available.
