Neighborhood folks head to this place regularly for its incredible food and feel-good vibe, although locals certainly hold no monopoly on the place. In fact, the restaurant's reputation for flavor and quality extends well beyond its immediate environs. The menu, too, has a wide grasp, offering everything from terrific steaks to seafood, poultry, and even enchiladas. Lunch adds in sandwiches, salads, quiche and soups, and there are always specials available. Its charming canalside terrace is great when the weather cooperates, and it's a lovely choice prior to, or after, a visit to the nearby Anne Frank House.
