10. Werck Restaurant & Cafe Bar

This sprawling establishment, near the Anne Frank House, is located within a characterful old coach house formerly belonging to the adjacent Westerkerk church. Contemporary and stylish, with a certain rustic charm, a variety of spaces – such as the bar, lounge and restaurant – are spread over different levels, providing cozy romantic corners. Opening mid-afternoon, you can enjoy a coffee or glass of wine on its courtyard terrace or smaller upper terrace or come here for a creative meal, a melting-pot of international styles. Post-dinner on Thursday through Saturday, DJs spin drum'n'bass, deep house, funk and the like and it turns into a club. The only drawback can be the slow service when it gets busy.
