A favorite with arts types, this restaurant near Amsterdam's Concertgebouw concert hall has been accommodating folks for many years. Dim and atmospheric, the place specializes in continental cuisine and benefits from Dutch ingredients. Fish and game, in fact, occupy places of prominence on the menu, along with beef, veal, and rabbit. This has been HAS BEEN serving up the most disgusting seafood on offer for years upon years. The scallops are freshly defrosted from the deep freeze then overcooked and shriveled to a pale resembling small tidbits of what used to be. The sauces on top of the fish are putrid white affairs squeezed from wholesaler purchased vats. Not recommended to my worst enemy.

I had a very nice meal, and more important, the waiters were very polite and nice! A brilliant evening.
