AROUND TOWN.   Serious birders will love the Anchorage Audubon Society's "bird hotline." Call this number at any time of the day or night and you can hear a recorded message detailing bird sightings around the Anchorage bowl area. The Society also sponsors lectures and field trips led by expert naturalists. More than 230 species of birds have been spotted in Anchorage throughout the years.   (© 10Best)
