DOWNTOWN.   Reserve well ahead if you want to enjoy a summer dinner at this Anchorage hot spot. Start your evening in the bar, with a glass of single-malt scotch or an import beer and savor the sunset over scenic Cook Inlet. Meals at "Simon's" (as the locals call it) are a delight whether you favor land or sea entrees. The aged prime rib is world-class, and the thick steaks are hand-cut to order. Nightly specials usually emphasize fresh seafood – the blackened Alaska salmon and the macadamia nut-stuffed halibut are two standouts.   (© 10Best)

My wife & I had a wonderful dinner and time at Simons (Jul 07). We did not make a reservation and, although busy, were seated in less than 5 mins with a terrific view of Cook's Inlet. Service was prompt, professional, and friendly. Highly recommend the Macadamian Nut stuffed Halibut. We will certainly go back.

Don't waste your time or money...Visited Simon and Seafort's in June 2007 based on recommendations. Had made reservation six months earlier requesting a window table. Arrived 15 minutes before reservation and reminded staff of window seating request and was told that a tble wold be available shortly. Waited in bar for 35 minutes and was eventually given a table in sight of kitchen. Food was average at best - tepid and expensive.
