Anchorage is a wonderful spot to add to your art or craftwork collection. Many artists center their work around the beautiful Alaskan countryside, and you can find prints, watercolors and oils that celebrate the local flora and fauna. Native art is also popular. Several galleries and shops sell works such as elaborately carved totems, hand-thrown ceramics and traditionally produced jewelry, clothing and housewares.
