Resolution Park

DOWNTOWN. Visit this park on a clear day and you are guaranteed a beautiful view of Cook Inlet and maybe even Mt. McKinley. A monument to Captain Cook explains how he came to discover this body of water. A viewing platform has a telescope and, for just a few cents, visitors can peer at Fire Island, Mt. Susitna, and Denali.
