I must say that 3 times was a charm! Our 2 sons both attend/ed the Naval Academy, and so we get to Annapolis fairly often from our home in Florida. On our first trip to Annapolis in 2002, we took a ghost tour and it was just plain hokey. The woman had her kid with her, and was totally overdramatic to a fault. On our next ghost adventure, we were in town around Halloween, and decided to try the ghost tour again, this time with Watermark Tours, and it was the exact opposite experience. SOOO BOOORRRING! The guide started her tour by telling us that there were no such thing as ghosts, and proceeded to give us a historical tour of Annapolis with the "ghost stories" which she OBVIOUSLY did not believe thrown in as an afterthought. What a waste! Last weekend, at our sons urging, we, believe it or not, tried ANOTHER ghost tour in Annapolis, this time with Ghost(s?) of Annapolis tours, and FINALLY we had a blast, and got exactly what we were hoping for! Our guide Julie(?) was fantastic, enthusiatic, and totally engaging and informative. This company touts themselves as the "original" Annapolis ghost tour, and if the results are any indication, it's best to stick with the original and avoid cheap knock-offs. Highly recommend this tour for you navy parents or anyone else visiting Annapolis.
