MY ALL TIME FAVORITE!!! Everrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Ok... I'm a bit prejudiced because I did paint all the murals in Jalapeno's....I'll admit that...BUT...!!!! As someone who grew up in California eating great Mexican food at least TWICE a week...this is incomparable. If you're looking for ho hum chips and salsa...don't go here. If you're looking for FABULOUS food, wonderful friendly people with a VERY loyal clientele... go here! ( I see the same people eating there whenever I go!). It's Annapolis' wonderful little secret. Great food, great prices and incredible white and red sangria (white is my fav). If it's busy...sit and eat at the bar and say hello to Gonzalo or Alberto..the owners, who are .two of the nicest guys in town. You'll get a great view of the tile mural that took ten years off my life when it fell off the wall due to being put up wrong on the first installation. Oy. I promise you won't be disappointed!! OH...and don't leave without trying the "banana cheesecake chimmichonga" for dessert!!! It's decadent!!! YUMMYYYYY!!

Nothing Spicy about Jalapenos
Mexican and Spanish is my favorite cuisine. I've dined at so many authentic Mexican and Spanish cuisine restaurants and I have to say that Jalapenos is not worth going to. The food is bland and for a place called Jalapenos they do not even have any good hot sauce (only Tabasco if you ask for it). They have mild pico de gallo and no spicy salsa of their own. I ordered something very basic (fajitas). The steak fajitas were spiced with garlic only and the peppers and onions were over sauteed (all more like shredded pieces rather than chopped). The guacamole appetizer was okay but over-priced and under spiced. Very disappointing experience.

Outstanding!
Jalapenos is a hidden gem in Annapolis. The tappas are outstanding and are a great compliment to the wonderful top-shelf margaritas (KAMs). The atmosphere is warm and cozy. The menu is a complex blend of Iberian and Mexican fare. If your definition of Mexican food involves chicken nachos and swill margaritas then you'll be disappointed. If you enjoy varied and well-prepared Spanish dishes from multiple continents that compliment well, then you'll love Jalapenos

Jalapenos is one of my favorite restaurants in Annapolis and it's wonderful to be greeted warmly every time. Both the white & red sangria are wonderful (it's hard to choose). The food is authentic, fresh, spanish and they're more than willing to customize. Everyone I've ever taken there has become a fan.
