This coffeehouse/wine bar features live classical, jazz or folk music every night. 49 West also houses a gallery of local artists' work which changes monthly, and artists debut during a wine and cheese reception the first Sunday of each month.

This unassuming longtime local favorite is the place to go for live music. Catering to variety, Armadillos offers entertainment for just about everyone. Live music is performed every night of the week except for Mondays and usually begins at 9:30. Each Wednesday, Armadillos hosts the Local Artist Showcase featuring the "who's who" of the Annapolis music scene. This hangout/restaurant is always a sure bet when looking for live music.

If you're looking for oysters and beer, you've come to the right location. Though McGarvey's Saloon doesn't feature live music, locals and tourists alike don't seem to mind. This loud and friendly establishment is known for its extensive line of beers on tap, especially the Aviator Amber Lager, made exclusively for the saloon's owner, Mike Ashford.

Annapolis is a city known for its historical sites, and O'Briens Oyster Bar & Restaurant is an Annapolis fixture. Built in 1774 as the Rose & Crown Tavern, the establishment was popular with revolutionaries and royalists. Now, the restaurant and bar is known for its Chesapeake cuisine, live entertainment and great atmosphere.

One of the most popular nightspots in town, The Ram's Head Tavern has become an Annapolis mainstay. National acts including Arlo Guthrie, Jean Luck Ponty and Levon Helm have all graced the stage, making The Ram's Head well-known for its dinner and show packages. Though ticketholders must be 21, audiences vary in age from young adult to middle-aged.

Irishman James Finley and his wife Pam evoke a piece of the Emerald Isle in this wildly popular Irish pub/restaurant. Known as the Annapolis Dart Bar, Sean Donlon's features a daily happy hour with $1 off pints of Guinness, as well as live music Tuesday through Saturday beginning at 9pm, and of course – darts!
