SOUTH DISTRICT. A neoclassical building from the late 1800s houses this museum and its impressive collection of Flemish masters. Antwerp's Royal Museum of Fine Arts has more Rubens – including the spectacular "Adoration of the Magi" and a marble entry hall decorated with the master's frescoes – than any other museum in the world. The ground floor exhibits modern painters like Ensor and Magritte, while the second floor is dedicated to the "old guard," including Rubens, van Eyck, Rembrandt and both Brueghels. Be sure to request the English-language audio guide, which is included with your admission. After a morning spent viewing the greats, relax with a cup of coffee in the café and browse the museum shop's souvenirs.
