CENTRAL STATION.   Even if you don't plan to arrive in Antwerp by train, make sure to visit this grand neo-Baroque terminal. In the late 1980s, Antwerp city officials debated whether to tear down or renovate the huge structure, which had been built in 1898 by King Leopold II's commission. Happily, the station's soaring vaulted ceilings, intricate ironwork and shiny marble have been restored to their original beauty. In fact, many movies set at the turn of the century are filmed here to take advantage of the architecture.   (© 10Best)
