OLD CITY. Antwerp's oldest restaurant – it's been in business for over 250 years – attracts locals and visitors alike, thanks to classy atmosphere and affordable prices. An excellent choucroute d'Alsace (sausages with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes) is always a terrific choice, as are steak au poivre and chicken stew. Seafood dishes are tops as well, and eel in parsley sauce or generous bowls of fresh North Sea mussels are often requested. The medieval cellar downstairs serves snacks and drinks in Gothic surroundings. Reservations accepted. Casual to smart-casual attire.
