SOUTH DISTRICT.   Ann Demeulemeester is one of the "Antwerp Six," a group of young fashion designers who trained at the Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts and went on to earn international reputations. Demeulemeester debuted her first collection in 1985 and is known for elegantly minimalist styles in shades of beige, charcoal and black. Her expansive shop, located in a 19th-century seaman's academy, is the only place where her complete men's and women's lines – including shoes and accessories – are available.   (© 10Best)
