5. Madame Jeanette

The food is quite good, but this place should be visited just for the ambiance – rattan tables and comfortable chairs situated among beautifully lighted trees and torches. The night we were there, they even had two musicians who were quiet, but wonderful. The lobster ravioli was delectable. Our steak was fantastic - béarnaise sauce and cheese, mushrooms and onions between two thick cuts of burger loin (which is not a burger, but a tender, flavorful cut of beef) with a side of shaved sweet potato fries. The golden snapper special was also quite good, as was the dessert - some kind of ice cream or gelato with cherry sauce. Excellent wine list, as well.

We have been coming to Aruba for the past 10 years and every time we make sure that we patronage Madame Jeannette at least twice in 4 weeks.

The food is EXCELLENT!! Also, the atmosphere is magical. I fly to Aruba just to eat there!

Loved the restaurant except the outside dining was very warm to the point of being uncomfortable.

Just returned from a week in Aruba...truly the best meals we've ever had ANYWHERE. The first time we went on Monday had the crab cake appetizer which was out of this world and the Gianni Versace Filet with lobster, spinach, portabella mushrooms and hollandaise...in a word FANTASTIC! Two dinners with soft drinks and dessert with a tip was around $120 US....so great we went back on Friday for more!

What an amazingly sumptuous and romantic spot! The ambiance is just delightful--outside (or under palm-laden canopies) with all the tiny lights! The service is impeccable, friendly and highly professional and knowledgeable. A fantastic wine list (and fabulous full-size Manhattan's!), the best meals we've ever had--we've been there 8 or so times. The food is consistently perfect--every year! We've told everyone not to miss this spot! And how do they do all this at such a reasonable price?
