DOWNTOWN. Designed by an architect affiliated with the building of the Biltmore Estate, Pinecrest is a historic property offering gracious accommodations. The Tudor-style home sits in the charming Montford District and is only a short walk from downtown Asheville. It offers an elegant parlor, a glassed-in porch, an acre of beautifully maintained grounds, and lovely decor. Each morning, a gourmet breakfast is served, and other snacks are available throughout the day. Guest rooms feature private bath, air-conditioning, cable TV, and soothing furnishings; some also boast a fireplace. In addition, visitors are pampered with fresh flowers and delicious chocolates. 5 rooms, including 3 suites.

Built in 1894 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Beaufort House Inn is located in the Chestnut Hill Historic District and is within easy walking distance of downtown Asheville. Managed by owners/innkeepers Jim & Christina Muth, the Victorian style house sits eloquently on two acres of beautifully landscaped grounds and gardens. Amenities include a complimentary sweet and savory two course breakfast, weekend wine and cheese guest socials, Godiva chocolates and Aveda personal products. In addition, guests can select from a variety of specialty packages including onsite massage and in-room champagne, wine and flowers.

Built around 1847 and located in the historic Royal Pines area, this inn is Italianate in style with Gothic Revival influence featuring grand 12 foot ceilings and twenty-two inch thick walls. The five guest rooms are named for trees like lilac, dogwood and magnolia. Each room has a private bath and sitting area. Accommodations also include a king suite carriage house. Catering is available for special events and wedding receptions. Close to Biltmore, Blue Ridge Parkway and other attractions.

This quaint, historic Victorian mansion dates from 1898 (renovated in 1994). Features antique and period furnishings, a dining room and a gazebo. Two rooms have a fireplace, and one has a balcony. Located in the historic Montford District the inn is 10 blocks from downtown and 15 minutes from the airport. 10 Rooms. 1 Suite. 1 Cottage with three bedrooms.
