MARATHON.   At this exclusive club, beautiful young things from Athens come to frolic in the sun. Almost an hour's drive from Athens – about 35 miles – it's near the Marathon Battlefield, so you can easily combine trips. Relax on the soft sand beach, or dive right in with windsurfing or water-skiing lessons. The beach volleyball court sees lots of action too, almost as much as the restaurant and two bars.
