CENTRAL MARKET.   Many folks claim that the Central Market is Athens' most exciting spot. It's divided into three general areas: one for butchers, one for fishmongers, and one for hawkers of produce, cheese, spices and other delicacies. If you're an olive lover, be sure to visit those vendors, who will let you taste many varieties before purchasing. Do try to visit the market early, because many stalls close by mid-morning, and the smell of raw meat and fish can get overwhelming in the heat of the day.   (© 10Best)
