Atlanta Botanical Garden

MIDTOWN. The urban and non-profit Atlanta Botanical Garden sits adjacent to Piedmont Park in Midtown, just three miles from the city's center, and hosts a wide variety of public and private events. Its 15 acres of old growth woods and 15 acres of cultivated gardens include the two-acre Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Children's Garden, the Dorothy Chapman Fuqua Conservatory and the Fuqua Orchid Center. Plants and flowers thrive in both the outdoor and the glass-enclosed gardens all year long, allowing visitors to enjoy a stunning array of colorful blooms and lush foliage no matter the season. Demonstrations and classes are held frequently. The gift shop is an excellent place to pick up something for the nature lover on your list. NB Open on holiday Mondays.
