5. Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta

DOWNTOWN.   Learning and good times intertwine at this hands-on museum, where kids (eight and under) are encouraged to play in the sand, splash in the river, operate the mesmerizing ball machine, and even paint on the walls. In addition to its permanent collection, the museum offers the Morph Gallery, which hosts an ever-changing lineup of fun exhibits.
