It is fair...
I guess my expectations were too high. I think the Aquarium is fair. I have been to several Aquariums around the U.S., and I just did not find this to be anything overwhelmingly spectacular. It has a nice play area & activity center for the children, and nice displays (one that is all glass and has a moving sidewalk). However, it appears they did not design it to accommodate large crowds, as the 4 or 5 times I have taken out of town guests, it has been wall to wall people, and difficult to move. Additionally, some of the staff (specifically the ones that screen you to come in) can be extremely rude. I heard one young woman berate a guest in line because she did not hear her tell her to raise her arms. The guest apologized, and stated she did not hear her, and the employee stated "What do you think I am standing here for?" Extremely uncalled for, and unprofessional.

I've been to about 10 aquariums internationally and this was by far the best. At the time, it had the biggest tank I think in the world. Awesome tanks that even go over your head and very rare sharks. Very interactive and great for taking your whole family.

Fantastic! On the outside it doesn't look to be that big but on the inside it is cavanous. Very well laid out and exciting - even for big kids! A must do on a trip to Atlanta!

One of the coolest places I've ever been. It is amazing what they have done in there. Go. You won't be dissappointed.

There are aquariums – and then there is the Georgia Aquarium. Part Disneyworld, part Louvre. The whalesharks are mindboggling, and the belugas make you smile. 3-D theater is not just for kids. Great food in the Cafe, too.
