Day of the Dead art |
The Buzz -- Expand your cultural horizons and honor your ancestors on the Day of the Dead (or Dia de los Muertos). During the festival, which has its roots in Mexican tradition, people get together with loved ones to remember their deceased relatives and friends. Customary celebrations feature bright colors, decorated sugar skulls, and elaborate altars. The History Center's program includes storytelling, music, and authentic Mexican foods. It's an ideal way to introduce your kids to another culture – they'll enjoy themselves so much, they may not even notice they're learning! |
