10. Tamarind Seed Thai Bistro

Wonderful food but we were here during Atlanta's gift market. had a reservation for 6:30 on a sunday, for two adults/two kids, and when we got in, they claimed they had tried to call us (no missed calls or messages on my cell phone) b/c they made a mistake and there was no room. we had two hungry children in tow.. there were tables open but they insisted there was no room. they said the tables were reserved for others and after much haggling w/ management, we did get a table but they said " we don't have a high chair" i managed to borrow one from a burger shack next door. Then, they couldn't serve/refill drinks.---it went on and on! Their management and staff is completely unable to handle being busy. They are completely incompetent in service and really lack skill in rectifying a problematic situation.... Sad because the atmosphere and food are superb.

If you like Thai food, you have to try Tamarind. Unusually great dishes -- you just dream about going back for another great meal!
