SANDY SPRINGS.   Hickory-smoked eats and downhome blues draw big crowds to this casual 'cue joint, where the specials are written out on paper and hung in front of the counter, and the beer is always just as it should be: ice cold. Must-orders include the pulled-pork sandwich – a simple yet delicious classic, especially when it's topped off by a few hits of their vinegar-based sauce. Platters of pork, beef, turkey and chicken are available as well, each accompanied by two homemade sides (coleslaw and Brunswick stew are the best bets as far as that goes).   (© 10Best)

Best BBQ
This place is the best BBQ in town and possibly the whole south. It's kinda strange to find such great smokey meat in a strip center but these folks have done the impossible. I have tried just about everything on the menu and the AJC food critics were right picking this place the best in Atlanta. Great family atmosphere and killer prices on draft beer. $10 gallons of PBR ? Haven't seen that since college. Gotta go there...

Smoked pork for BBQ purists - the pork is possibly the best in the metro area. Prices are competitive and all of the sides except the overly "dill" potato salad are good. It isn't a pretty place, but I think the food is better than most.

A great laid back back eatery. A relaxing family environment with an outdoor patio open during fair weather. All meats are 'qued on site with a wood smoker (you can see it from the patio). I would recommend the ribs or chicken (on bone). There are three different BBQ sauces at your disposal as you chow down and most importanly in my book, a roll of paper towels at every table. As for negatives, my brother's girlfriend found the pulled chicken to be rather dry and I personally thought their BBQ sliced beef to be average at best. Where P-N-C really excels is with their sides. In my relatively short time in the ATL, they served me the best Brunswick stew I've ever had. As a you know, if you want to start an argument in the South, just tell someone you've found the best Brunswick stew. Well, not only was I served the best B. stew, I was served the best coleslaw ever! Since that initial visit, I've ordered delivery from P-N-C on more than once occasion and can now also recommend the Redneck Nachos. Any further doubt that I approve of the Chik can be quickly erased by a check of my fridge which reveals a bottle of Pig-N-Chik Blue Label reqular BBQ sauce (it says regular though it has a little bit of a kick). What's odd (other than this review... and me) is that I have yet to try P-N-C's signature staple. That of the pulled meat (pork, chicken, beef) 'que sandwich. Guess I have yet another reason to go back.
