The variety is great. The service is Great. and the food is AWESOME!!

Overrated, expensive, average food
Poor lighting (couldn’t read menu). Excellent lobster bisque. Chopped & caesar salads drowning in dressing. NY Strip tasty & cooked perfectly. Rigatoni & cheese side tasted overwhelmingly like bleu cheese w/ bland mystery topping (lobster?). Cheesecake served on white dish with no garnishment (better dessert presentation at less pretentious restaurants!). Waiter became less attentive as the evening went on and couldn't be bothered to bring our check. Men’s bathroom was dirty (an “accident” hadn’t been cleaned up). Pano’s & Paul’s towels in the bathroom (cost-cutting?). $150 for 1 dinner special (included salad, entrée w/ side, and dessert), 1 entrée, 1 salad, 1 lobster bisque, 1 iced tea, 1 beer & tip. Half-hearted thanks as we departed. Left feeling like we’d been robbed.

What Happend? Have been going to the Lobster Bar for 10 years, the last two times the food was just OK, service mediocre, and prices raised. For instance, I ordered a half dozen extra shrimp for app., they were large and very good but was charged 15$ per shrimp, com'on 75.00 for 6 shrimp Please!, Are they under new management?

I have read the other reviews, I have no idea what they are talking about. Chops is by far the best restaurant in the country not just Atlanta. I am in Atlanta twice a year I eat there at least two nights each trip.. the Porterhouse is by far the best steak I have ever had.. obviously many other people feel the same way because there is always a wait for a table.. maybe some people only rate a restaurant when they have a complaint. The service is incredible and the food is by far exceptional. I would never miss a chance to eat there.

We dined in the lobster bar. Contrary to what is stated on this site, there are a lot of hard surfaces and it is a big open room. So the restaurant is very noisy even on a not so busy Sunday night. We were disappointed with the atmosphere and do not think this venue is worthy of the restaurant family it is a part of. The waiter was inattentive and distracted. Although the food came out efficiently, the waiter left us alone for most of the meal so water wasn't filled and we were not offered things we should have and did without since no one came. The food was mixed. The steak was excellent and prepared very well. But the swordfish was so bad captains D would have been a better choice. Shame on you for serving a small square that was less then 1/4 inch think. I was embarrassed to take an out of town guest to a restaurant this site rates as the best seafood restaurant in Atlanta. I'm not sure what is worse, the information on this site or the restaurant!

I took my fiance out to Chops for his birthday to try what Atlanta says is in the top 10 restaurants. We had good steak and a great spinach salad with amazing hot bacon dressing. I've easily had better steak. The service was excellent and it was a great experience, however for steaks, i have other preferences.

I had the best steak I've ever had at Chop's. The service was impeccable. I will definitely be back.
