Can't be right
Oh boy!!!! We can not be talking about the same restaruant I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The food was great the drink was a little pricey especially for the amount of liquor that was not in my glass. Again over all I ate great and will def be back!!!

Excellent food
Had dinner at Spondivits on October 18...fabulous service (thanks Michael). The staff was having a blast which contributed to a fun evening. The food was incredible (bucket of lobster tails) and the price was right. Pleasant evening, fun atmostphere and great food...I've already told several people who live in NW Atlanta with me that it is well worth the drive for the experience. I will be back...

Never again
Was near the airport looking for a place to eat and decided to eat at Spondivits instead of the McDonald's next door. Should have stuck with McDonald's. We waited on a table to be cleared because the one they had ready had high stools. Considering we have a 2 and 4 year old that wouldn't work. But the table we waited on may have been worse. I got greasy butter all over my arm that was hiding on the table from the last party and their used condiments were left on the table. We even had to rearrange the table and chairs just so we could sit down. Service was terrible. Food was fair but not the best in Atlanta at all. And we were told there was no kids menu but the website indicates there is. This was a definite one time experience.

Bad Experience!
ate here on 7-13-09. The food was good, but I couldn't finish my drink and had to trash my carry out because a roach crawled across my table. When I told the server she said "I'm sorry, I'm sure other places have this". The manager thanked me for saying "my son killed the roach and it's on the table". he also added that they were going to spray later that night and on the 14th. Oh and on my next visit he would buy me a drink! That was just poor customer service and a bad joke! I will never eat there again! It's dirty and they are comfortable with it!

Cleanliness is missing
Prices are fine but I am very concerned about the lack of cleanliness.

WHAT EVER YOU DO, DON'T USE A DEBIT CARD
WENT TO THE RESTAURANT. FOOD WAS OK. TAB FOR TWO PEOPLE CAME OUT TO $98.75. GAVE WAITRESS A $10 TIP. SUGGESTED TIP WAS 18%. THOUGHT THAT AMOUNT WAS TOO MUCH. MY CARD WAS CHARGED THE 98.75. WHEN THE AMOUNT HIT MY BANK I WAS CHARGED THE BILL PLUS TIP. CALLED AND SPOKE WITH A MANAGER AND WAS RUDELY TOLD THAT, AT THE END OF THE NIGHT THEY AUTOMATICALLY CHARGE THE TIP TO YOUR CARD WHETHER YOU GAVE A TIP OR NOT. SHE SAID THAT SHE WILL NOT ISSUE A REFUND, THAT I WILL HAVE TO DISPUTE THE CHARGE TO MY BANK....WORD OF ADVICE "DON'T USE A DEBIT CARD HERE!!!, IF YOU DO KEEP YOUR RECEIPT, AND CHECK WITH YOUR BANK TO VERIFY ACTUAL AMOUNT CHARGED

Being from New York I am certainly surrounded by fine cuisine every where. However, while traveling for business I asked my hotel concierge "whats good?" And they pointed me in the direction of Spondivits. What a fun atmosphere. First of all we were a small party of 2 so seating was relatively easy with only a 5 min wait on a Tuesday evening. We sat in the shaded outdoor section and was greeted with the sweetest most attentive waitress. We literally couldnt decide on what to get so we started some simple apps. We ordered the calimari which was fried and smothered in old bay - DELICIOUS! And huge! We also ordered some peel n' eat shrimp. HUGE - they were great and they came with a mild sauce but they are even so detail oriented that they put the horseradish on the side so that you can make it as spicy as you like. Of course for our entrees we went for the BUCKETS. And oh my. 2 people really can share a whole bucket of crab and it was delicious! They come smothered in this fantastic garlic concoction already pre-cracked. Which makes it nice so you dont have to wrestle with the shells as much. Overall, the service was excellent, we spent 100.00 but we ordered apps, 2 buckets, 4 Landsharks, and garlic bread (a must for dipping in the hot butter thats loaded with that secret concoction). Overall, 5 stars - it looks like a dive, but that adds the awesome ambiance to it. GO FOR IT!

[This] was recommended [by] the counter girl at the hotel I stayed at last summer. [I] was on vacation from Canada and visiting friends. Amazing atmosphere, cold beer, fresh seafood, great service, knowledgeable staff, and attractive waitresses made my hot and humid Atlanta summer days incredible. Will definitely visit this upbeat and amazing establishment on my next visit. All restaurants should be this good.

Have spent many a night while visiting Atlanta at Spondivits. Aside from the good food/drink we have continued to return time and time again the past 2 years because of Sean Seagar. He is a wonderful attribute to your establishment. His expertise, friendly nature and winning smile and personality have [us] returning from Mississippi and Florida as often as possible. We were there 2 nights this month and hope to return in March. See you all then. Have those pineapple martinis flowing!

Took six people from all over the country there (had a conference at the Hilton down the street). The seafood was fresh, delicious and an obscene amount. No reservations (might have a short wait) and kind of loud, but worth it. Excellent service, fun atmosphere and probably the best airport-area restaurant in Atlanta.
