overrated
After reading the reviews here and doing some research I decided to give this restaurant a chance.
I was disappointed in all phases; food, music, service, and over all restaurant appeal.
I ordered the stone ground grits with fish. Obviously I didn't expect the fish and grits I grew up on in Charleston, South Carolina. I started with the grits and they didn't look, feel, or taste like stone ground grits. They were very ordinary grits nothing special; the same could be said for the fish.
I also ordered supposedly the best pancakes in America, so did my wife. We both agreed that they were cooked well, but in no way shape or form the best we ever had.
The music playing loudly in the background reminded me of my college days. I didn't like dance/rave music back then, I rediscovered my dislike of that type of music while dining there.
In no way am I a food snob and like my username says” I eat all over”, but I seriously doubt will eat there again.

Ria's is GREAT!! Every time I am in Atlanta I make it a point to go eat here. The food is some of the best you are going to find anywhere. Prices are very reasonable. If you love good, home-cooked, southern style "comfort" food then Ria's Bluebird is the restaurant for you. Everytime I have been it has been busy, so plan ahead try to beat the lunch crowds. I have nothing bad I can say about anything I have eaten from the menu here, and trust me I've tried almost everything. Don't forget to ask about the lunch specials that day. If only there could be more restaurants like this one.
