3. Green Market at Piedmont Park

Before Saturday's dawn breaks, Georgia vendors begin lining up along the walks in Piedmont Park. As the sun peeps through the trees, neat white tents shade tables lined with plump cantaloupes, sparkling handblown glass, fresh-made pastas, and cut flowers. About a third of the tents display produce grown in the surrounding countryside. From 10 to 11 a.m. and noon to 1 p.m., Piedmont Park Conservancy sets up a kitchen near The Community Center at 12th Street. Chairs invite guests to have a seat and follow along as area chefs prepare scrumptious meals made from ingredients bought at the market. Everybody gets a taste. (from Southern Living)
