DOWNTOWN. "Moored" north of Centennial Olympic Park, a massive glass and steel prow beckons modern explorers to discover the wonders that lie deep within the Georgia Aquarium, one of the largest and most architecturally stunning facilities of its kind. Exotic batfish, sea goblins and bowmouth guitarfish are among 100,000 fish and marine animals patrolling the 6-plus million gallons of the deep water exhibit, which is home to the state's most prodigious residents – whale sharks Alice, Trixie, Taroko, and Yushan (Ralph and Norton passed in 2007). A reality thanks to the generosity of Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus, the Georgia Aquarium has strong rescue, rehabilitation and education emphases and serves as one of the state's top special event venues. MARIETTA. White Water Atlanta has earned accolades as one of America's top water parks. Its rides contain 2 million gallons of water and are constantly expanding to ensure fun for the entire family. Attractions of special note include The Cliffhanger and Tornado, which send folks nine and six stories (respectively) to the ground in a fantastic ride – they can't be found anyplace else. An abundance of water slides, wave pools, and water-oriented playground equipment makes the park a great place to cool off!

DOWNTOWN. The Underground is one of Atlanta's most popular destinations for locals and visitors alike. Tucked away one level below ground, the complex offers a multitude of shops, eateries, and clubs. Specialty and souvenir shops are particularly prominent, although clothing venues and food vendors can also be found. This course, located in a peaceful wooded setting, features substantial elevation changes and unique granite outcroppings on a number of holes. The tree-lined fairways, rising and falling with the natural terrain, lead to gently sloping but slick greens. Careful shot making is a must to avoid the danger that lies in the wetland and the thickly wooded areas. This Palmer course provides an unmatched setting and a layout all golfers will enjoy.
