BUCKHEAD.   This popular restaurant revels in kitsch – yes, the lunch boxes, board games and Barbie-related collectibles are authentic – and serves delicious Southern fare. How does a Sunday brunch of salmon croquettes, Cajun-fried okra and fried green tomatoes sound? Other down-home favorites include mac-n-cheese fritters, BBQ shrimp served over creamy grits, turkey meatloaf and buttermilk fried chicken. Of course, one of their spicy Bloody Marys is a must. I visited Atlanta for the first time last October. My friends took me to Agnes and Muriels; I was initially delighted by the 60's kistchy atmosphere, but the food just blew me away. I'm still telling my friends here in Phoenix about the Cajun Shrimp on grits, as well as the Cajun-fried okra. Too much of a good thing? I think not. I'll never forget how much I loved this place; I'll be back again on my next Atlanta visit!
