The Atlanta PRIDE celebration weekend has morphed into one of the city's, and the Southeast's, most popular events. Emphasizing cultural and social support for gays and lesbians, weekend events like the Lambda Car Show, YouthPride Prom and Curve Magazine Peach Party fuel a festival-like atmosphere. And then, of course, there's the parade, where people from all walks of life proudly endorse unity and a positive image for the gay and lesbian communities.
