MIDTOWN. Corner suites in some hotels are the least spacious, but the ones at Four Seasons Atlanta feature separate entries to the living area and bedroom and 900 square feet of luxury. The suites' location on the 19th floor only adds to their attractiveness, providing awe-inspiring views of the Midtown and Downtown corridors. Whether you're relaxing in one of two marble bathrooms or gazing out of the windows, these suites never disappoint.
PONCEY-HIGHLAND. The English Suite at Gaslight Inn provides visitors with a much more intimate setting than can be found at the city's high-rise hotels. The two-bedroom suite is furnished in luxurious traditional style reminiscent of an English country cottage, complete with a private sun deck overlooking the walled garden. Thanks to its second-floor location, the deck also features views of the surrounding neighborhood, reminding you that the city's diversions are just a few steps away.
BUCKHEAD. One of the most recognizable – and tallest – buildings in Buckhead, the Grand Hyatt Atlanta spoils guests as only a true elite hotel can. The Presidential Suite stakes a claim at offering one of the best views of the city, combining glimpses of natural areas in Buckhead (and beyond) with those of the Atlanta skyline. The suite features a private balcony, oversized windows in the bedroom, and 24-hour room service so you can enjoy the views virtually uninterrupted.
DOWNTOWN. A hotel room's views rarely encapsulate the city's essence as well as do those from the Omni and Presidential Suites at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center. These rooms look out to the downtown skyline, to the hustle and bustle around CNN Center, and to the epicenter of the 1996 Olympics, Centennial Olympic Park. The bi-level Omni Suite boasts 2000 square feet; the Presidential Suite, situated directly over Centennial Olympic Park, is similarly sized.
BUCKHEAD. Any stay at a Ritz-Carlton is certain to be memorable, but Atlanta's Buckhead location meets every expectation and more. This is especially true of its Ritz-Carlton Suite, which also boasts fantastic views. With more than 1400 square feet of space, the suite emphasizes luxury with a four-poster bed, marble guest bath, and dining table for eight. An oversized bay window overlooks and highlights Buckhead's most attractive features – an expanse of Georgia pines, enticing restaurants, and thriving nightlife destinations.
DOWNTOWN. The Glenn Hotel is an excellent choice for accommodations, but even if you're staying elsehere, you can enjoy sweeping views of Downtown from The Glenn's Rooftop Bar. Dine on braised vanilla short ribs or Chilean seabass, and then head outside for after-dinner drinks in the open air. The spot also scores high on the relaxation scale with its comfy outdoor furniture and unassuming atmosphere. NB The bar may be closed at times in order to limit crowds or for special events.
STONE MOUNTAIN. Views of the city skyline are exhilarating, but what about looking out and seeing Atlanta's number one visitor attraction, Stone Mountain? Views afforded by rooms at this plantation-style hotel put you face to face with the "Mount Rushmore" of the South, a large sculpted portrait of Confederates Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and Jefferson Davis mounted on their horses. Covering 57,950 square feet, the carving is the largest of its kind in the United States.
DOWNTOWN. No other location can compare to The Sun Dial when it comes to offering a panoramic skyline view of the city. The main reason is that the establishment is the only rotating restaurant in Atlanta. Resting atop The Westin Peachtree Plaza, The Sun Dial boasts three levels and plenty of upscale dining. While views are breathtaking, the spiced pumpkin ravioli and Georgia mountain trout are apt distractions.
MIDTOWN. Located in upscale Atlantic Station, one of the city's newest and most thriving neighborhoods, TWELVE is an all-suite boutique hotel with perfect accommodations for both overnight and longer stays. Suites feature comfortable contemporary furniture, a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and, depending on the room, beautiful views that stretch from Buckhead to Midtown.
BUCKHEAD. For a super view of the city at just a little more than a regular room rate, choose one of The Westin Buckhead's corner rooms. Windows afford broad views of the still-budding Buckhead neighborhood, showcasing high-rise buildings as well as plenty of greenspaces. Added perks: The Westin is just steps away from swanky local nightlife, and The Palm restaurant is on-site. You know the spot. The hotel that offers great views of the city skyline or lovely vistas of the countryside. Or maybe you don't. Either way, you will now. We'll share the numbers of guest rooms where you can take in the most amazing panoramas. We'll tell you about the nightclub with a fabulous scenic terrace, and we'll let you in on the hotel restaurant that boasts its own manicured garden courtyard. Hotel stays aren't just about the bed or the toiletries, after all.
