3. The Garden Festival

The Buzz -- Did you know Augusta is known as the Garden City? The Garden Festival, held for three days and hosted by the Sacred Heart Cultural Center, celebrates history, horticulture, and the ever-progressing development of Augusta. All proceeds from the Festival go to the continued restoration of the Sacred Heart Center. Featuring creative gardens and exotic floral exhibits, public and private garden tours, and comprehensive horticultural demonstrations and lectures. An open "City Market," featuring fabulous garden items for sale, is also a very popular feature of this festival.
