Once an old cotton warehouse dating from the 1870's, this fun eatery has just about everything you need: live jazz music, over 20 desserts, and hearty dishes like stuffed sesame chicken breast, blackened snapper, and homemade pizza and lasagnas. The desserts at this full service restaurant are as well known as the entrees: Boll Weevil blueberry banana cheesecake, banana chocolate chip cake, and seven types of chocolate in a dish appropriately named Heavenly Sevens. Owner George Harrison strategically placed the dessert case there, and when your eyes lock on the Perfect Chocolate Cake, you'll be done in. It stands about 18 inches tall, topped with brownie sprinkles and drizzled in chocolate ganache. Not ready for dessert just yet? I agree with the previous reviewer that sometimes the service can be lacking. However, there's no question that when I come back to Augusta every few years I always visit the Boll Weevil. Without doubt, the best dessert place in all of Augusta. From the classic cheesecake to my personal favorite, their red velvet cake with the most perfect, delectable icing, this place is the best! A must visit!

I'm a resident of the area and I must say that out of all the resteraunts with a dessert menu - this one is the best. Me and my mother simply cannot complete our trips to the downtown area without visiting for a slice of cake and some coffee on the side. Our personal fave is the Tropical Dream Cake, and I highly recomend this to anyone who needs a slice of paradise.
