6. Sconyers Bar-B-Que

I like Larry, Richard and the old gang but...this ain't even good Bar B Q. They do a decent job on ribs but I have had better Q at 100's of places in the southeast. Heck, I can think of at least 4 places in Augusta that have much better Bar B Q. They have a real pretty building, good service and a name. That's about it.

I was born and Augusta, so I remember eating at the old place. We moved to Va. when I was young. When we get back to Augusta to visit family, we always eat at Sconyers. I love the hash and rice, which I can't get anywhere in Va. The BBQ is also one of a kind. Hope to eat there again soon.

I absolutely love Sconyers!! Because I'm on the go, we usually get take out. The ladies at the take out counter are just wonderful. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about it. The atmosphere, the kind, courteous people and not to mention the wonderful food. Everthing is good. I have never had a bad meal. I try my best to get in there at least 3 or 4 times a month, considering I live in Harlem. Don't change a thing! Unless you put a satellite location in Martinez/Evans area.

I'm writing because we have purchased your BBQ sauce in the past and it was very good. But my husband purchased two bottles, one hot and one mild, on Oct.21 2005. When I picked up the bottle to open it I notice how runny it was. When I tasted it, it had the same flavor but diluted. And the other bottle was the same. When it's two kinds and yet diluted that's not right to the customer. things just aren't the same there any more when you sacrafice your quality.

The Turkey, hash and potato salad is GREAT!

It is a great place to eat with more food on the plate than one person could eat. A great deal for the price.
