 EDITOR REVIEW: DOWNTOWN. Most weekends throughout the year, area farmers cart their hearty produce downtown to Republic Square Park to set up temporary shop. Their farm-fresh goods depend on the season and include everything from organic salad greens and root vegetables to locally produced honey and artisan breads. Healthy eaters appreciate the ease of shopping these open-air booths, and many return on a weekly basis. Another market is held at Triangle Park (4600 Guadalupe) on Wednesday afternoons (4pm-8pm; hours may vary seasonally).
