girlie on Dottie's True Blue Café (San Francisco): "super super super - cannot fault this one. always consistent and one of SF's little gems."
Beth on Alexander's Fish, Chicken & Ribs (Maui): "Husband and I travel to Maui frequently and we love this place. With everything on Maui so expensive, this is a nice little hole in the wall to get great, inexpensive lunch and dinner. Fish and chips are great and the ribs are delicious. We always stay on Ka'anapali Beach but head to Kihei almost daily for lunch at Alexander's!"
geoff on Amy's Ice Creams (Austin): "Anyone who doesn't think this place should be 5 stars must not have a belly as big as mine!! The ice cream is amazing! Also, the place is the epitome of Austin!"
Linz on Aunt Chiladas Easy Street Cafe (Hilton Head, SC): "I LOVE this place. Great Happy Hour! Love the crab legs, and frozen drinks. The only place that pays YOU to drink! My family goes every year."
rhayniejr on Brandy's Restaurant and Bakery (Flagstaff): "If you can make it past the pastry case to a table you are in for a wonderful meal. I only had a chance to have breakfast and it was the best of a 10 day trip. I had Chorizo Scramble: two eggs scrambled with chorizo and cheddar cheese served with a buttermilk pancake or country potatoes and a warm flour tortilla- but I substituted a Swedish Oat Pancake for a mere 79 cents. The wife had poached eggs and buttermilk pancake. The coffee was so good! They also had a full barista operated coffee bar. We had a little difficulty finding it without a map but it was worth the search. If breakfast was any indication of the rest of their meals you need to make the effort if in Flagstaff to get off the Interstate and find Brandy's. And, yes, the breakfast was so much that we were too full and didn't eat again until 3 in the afternoon."
Bee on La Mallorquina (San Juan, PR): "I first visited this restaurant when I was 15 yrs old...I'm about to celebrate my 41st b'day (next week) and will be visiting MY FAVORITE DINING SPOT (La Mallorquina)....I'M ON MY WAY BACK TO Puerto Rico :) Everything about this eatery is A+, the food is to die for...freshly cooked and seasoned to perfection, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The interior has an old world charm that sets La Mallorquina apart from many other restaurants. You must try... a pina colada, coconut flan, mofongo, chicken and rice, octopus salad...I'm drooling just thinking about it. Enjoy :)"
hyde81 on No Sign Wine Bar (Swansea, UK): "On a street full of chains offering you boil in a bag sunday lunch the no sign bar is a gem amongst them. From the front the independent bar is easy to miss but once your inside you know you're in for a treat. The smell of home-cooked sunday roast, ''just like your mum makes'' wafts through the building. I went with 3 friends and we all had the carvery, there was a selection of 3 meats, i had lamb with all the trimmings, it was beautiful. If you've had a heavy saturday night out and are looking for somewhere to recover with a good plate of grub, the no sign bar is just the ticket."
