SOUTH AUSTIN.   Founded by the former First Lady and actress Helen Hayes, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is one of the premier attractions in Austin and showcases 279 acres of gorgeous wildflowers. Taking great strides in the promotion of the conservation, restoration and diversification of native plants, this South Austin attraction features some truly spectacular arrays of flowers with plenty of wildlife nearby.
