3. Historic Train Excursions

One of the most enjoyable attractions in Austin, a half-day trip aboard the Hill Country Flyer steam train, along the Austin and Texas Central Railroad lines, takes you into and around the Texas hill country. There are also 90-minute Austin train rides aboard the River City Flyer and the Bertram Flyer, and special dinner runs on the Twilight Flyer. This is a wonderful Austin attraction for a family group or a memorable date. Trains run on Saturday and Sunday, but exact times and departure locations vary.   (© 10Best)
