2. Rude Mechs

Rude Mechs is an internationally acclaimed theatre company based in Austin, TX. They create original plays and have toured them throughout the US and Europe (Get Your War On, Lipstick Traces, The Method Gun, Cherrywood, How Late It Was, How Late). They run a performing arts venue in Austin called The Off Center that is booked year-round with Austin's finest music, dance and theatre groups. They also run a year-round arts mentoring program for teenaged girls called Grrl Action.
