CONGRESS AVENUE.   One of the more upscale bars in Austin, Speakeasy offers a lounge atmosphere with details of brick, polished wood and heavy drapery. Booth seating, pool tables and live music are available to complete your evening. The rooftop terrace at this Austin lounge has its own bar, where many visitors like to go to relax and enjoy stunning city views. Went to Austin on a business trip and we found ourselves at the Speakeasy. This was a recommendation by our waiter at Sullivan’s (very good). It was Thursday night, and the regular band was Memphis Train Revue (www.memphistrainrevue.com) and they rocked the house with disco oldies from the 70's. I would highly recommend that you check this place out. Better yet, don't so we will have a better table next time we go.
