CONGRESS AVENUE.   One of the best Austin clubs around, Speakeasy offers a lounge atmosphere with details of brick, polished wood and heavy drapery. The comfortable booth seating, pool tables and live music at Speakeasy make it one of the top bars in Austin, TX. The rooftop terrace at this Austin lounge has its own bar, where many visitors like to go and relax while surrounded by stunning city views. Went to Austin on a business trip and we found ourselves at the Speakeasy. This was a recommendation by our waiter at Sullivan’s (very good). It was Thursday night, and the regular band was Memphis Train Revue (www.memphistrainrevue.com) and they rocked the house with disco oldies from the 70's. I would highly recommend that you check this place out. Better yet, don't so we will have a better table next time we go.
