profiled & refused entry?
Once again me & my musician best friend work in the Servive Industry. I work at a Bar on 6th street, my friend at a sports bar. We were told we LOOK LIKE GANGSTERS? I am 37 years old, and appear to be 22 and dress the same in all clubs, but I stopped going to BARCELONA when i started getting profiled because of my artistic hip hop attire? MY MONEY WILL NOT BE SPENT AT YOUR CLUB IF I DONT LOOK LIKE YOU WANT ME TO! AND EVERYONE I KNOW WILL BE TOLD HOW DISGUSTED I FELT AS IF DUBSTEP is only for the ELITE! Dubstep is not about segragation its about LOVE! its to dance and enjoy life in a river of good vibrations. its the next level of Hip Hop, and you guys dont deserve to even play it. To the OWNER: you can ask to talk to me in person but it wont be at your club, i am not a violent person, and i surround myself with beautiful people, and love life. TOO BAD your club will be BOYCOTTED BY ME.

I beg to differ on the first comment. My experiences they're are pretty awesome,and i never get corraled out the door by 2am, sometimes the DJ's and everyone in to the music stay almost to 4 am. But maybe this other person went when something went down. There could be reason why they probably shoved everyone out by 2am. Other wise they really aren't that strict.

Barcelona is NOT the best bar in downtown austin. Althought it is trendy, beware of staying until close. Once you finish your drink or are asked to forfeit your beverage, no matter how much you contributed to profits, the tyrants of Barcelona will not allow you to use the bathroom before exiting the perimeters. They don't care how much you spent, once the 2:00 last call comes you are corralled toward the door. Basic human needs are not accommadated because the bar will deter any patron from using the facilities within before leaving.
