WEST END.   Fashionable and casually upscale, Wink has garnered rave reviews and a loyal bastion of regulars. Although it's possible to order a traditional appetizer and main course, the best way to appreciate the culinary skills at work is to order a series of small plates. The menu changes often to take advantage of the freshest seasonal produce, but past winners have included scallops with baby sweet potatoes, grilled lamb loin on Stilton polenta, duck breast with wild mushroom risotto, and sautéed sweetbreads on Yukon Gold potatoes. Fabulous selection of by-the-glass wines.   (© 10Best)

Almost Perfect
The menu is incredible featuring dishes for every pallet. The ceviche and scallops are fantastic. The hallibut and hanger steak are my favorites. The creme brulee and el rey chocolate cake are great desserts. Their Italian and French wines are carefully picked. My only complaint is that hey need to upgrade their A/C unit. The restaurant is always a bit warm.

Our recent visit was very enjoyable. This is an Austin type of place, great food, fairly "low key" and comparably reasonable prices. The associated winebar next door was pleasant, although not fancy. The staff in both places was friendly, helpful, quite knowledgeable and willing to let us "taste" several wines. At the restaurant, the fois gras appetizer was outstanding and the incorporation of local organic produce was appreciated. Several great desserts. The only minor drawbacks are that the restaurant can get quite noisy when full (which is most of the time), making conversation challenging and the food took a while to arrive. 4 stars well deserved.
